Drawing inspiration from the shipwrecks found along the West Coast, the house features a corten steel screen along its eastern façade. The screen acts as a shield that shelters and protects the house from the harsh coastal elements.

The natural colour and texture of the rusted steel helps to blend the house into the landscape.
